We have been notified of a major fibre break affecting the national
backbone between Cape Town and Johannesburg. Of the five primary fibre
paths on this route, three are currently down.
As a result, you may experience intermittent connectivity, higher
latency, or slower-than-normal internet performance while repairs are
underway.
At this stage, no estimated time of repair has been provided by the
upstream network operators.
Pretoria WISP remains operational, and our network will fail over to
backup capacity where required to minimize disruption.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more
information becomes available.
