At approximately 14:06 on 06/02/2026, the Pretoria WISP network
experienced a power surge within the Garsfontein Main Station cabinet.
This resulted in a loss of connectivity and intermittent service for
some customers.
At this stage, the exact cause of the surge is still under
investigation. Our technical team is actively working to identify the
root cause and is engaging with our equipment supplier to ensure that
measures are put in place to prevent a recurrence, or at the very least
to avoid a network-wide impact in the future. Will post updates during
the course of Monday Tuesday regarding this outage.
Service has been restored to customers in the Waterkloof Heights area.
